Job Summary
RBG Inc. is seeking a skilled Road Aerial Lift Technician to join our growing team. You will work on a wide range of bucket trucks and self‑propelled aerial lifts, performing inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to OSHA and ANSI standards. This is a road-based role requiring strong mechanical and hydraulic expertise and the ability to work independently.
You will be assigned a company service truck (fuel provided). Overnight work-related travel includes company‑covered lodging and meals. All travel time is paid at your standard hourly rate. Technicians must supply their own hand tools; major equipment is provided by the company.
Required Experience
Previous experience working with bucket trucks, aerial lifts, or heavy equipment with hydraulic systems is required for the Road Technician position. If you do not have experience but have a willingness to learn, we offer in-house technician positions and are willing to train the right candidate.
Required Skills & Qualifications
These are the abilities and knowledge you need to bring to the role:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Provide own hand tools
- Hydraulic system experience and/or understanding
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/hydraulic schematics, parts manuals, and spec sheets or willing to learn
- Experience with electrical wiring (lights, trailer plugs, and accessories)
- Knowledge of PTOs and hydraulic pumps
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and follow safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license
Job Responsibilities
These are the tasks you will perform on the job:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair bucket trucks and aerial lifts
- Perform maintenance and repair work according to OSHA and ANSI standards
- Conduct dielectric testing
- Use schematics and manuals to identify faults and verify repairs
- Operate company-provided service truck and maintain it in clean, safe condition
- Communicate findings, repair needs, and timelines with the service manager
- Document work performed using company procedures
- Travel to customer locations as required, including occasional overnight stays
- Follow all company, customer, and job‑site safety requirements
