Job Summary

RBG Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Field Service Specialist – Aerial Lifts to support our rapidly expanding DINOlift and HYRAX product lines. This hybrid role includes shop-based work, road travel, and air travel, providing a dynamic mix of diagnostics, repairs, customer support, and product expertise.

As a Technical Field Service Specialist, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair advanced aerial lift systems with a focus on electrical, electronic, and control-system components. You will support both field customers and our in‑house service department, perform technical evaluations, and assist with commissioning and inspecting equipment.

 

Required Experience

Candidates must have:

  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting ability using diagrams, diagnostic tools, and testing procedures
  • Hands‑on skill to perform equipment repairs in both field and shop environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff, technicians, and service personnel

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Electrical troubleshooting (DC circuits, sensors, relays, controllers, CANbus, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and service manuals
  • Basic-to-intermediate understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Experience using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and electronic equipment
  • Competence with hand and power tools
  • Computer literacy for diagnostics, service reporting, and software-related tasks

Professional Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel by road and air as required
  • Professional communication with customers and internal staff
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and stay organized
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to grow expertise

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift and handle parts, tools, and components
  • Must supply basic hand tools (company provides major equipment)

Job Responsibilities


Technical & Diagnostic Work

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on DINOlift and HYRAX aerial lifts
  • Conduct system testing, sensor checks, and control-system troubleshooting
  • Perform preventive maintenance, adjustments, and component replacements
  • Use schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools to support accurate repairs

Field Support & Travel

  • Travel to customer sites for technical service, inspections, and troubleshooting
  • Travel by air for remote customer support or specialized service work
  • Communicate repair needs, findings, and recommendations to the service manager and internal technicians

Shop Responsibilities

  • Perform in‑house repairs, testing, and equipment setup
  • Support pre-delivery inspections and commissioning of new units
  • Assist the service team with complex technical issues and documentation

Long-Term Growth

  • Develop expertise in DINOlift and HYRAX electrical and control systems
  • Become an internal resource for troubleshooting and product knowledge

 

Job Type

$30-38 per hour, based on experience.
